From 4th to 8th November, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of ACCSE (Association of Coordinators of Catholic Schools of Evangelization) in Rome at the International Conference of the coordinators of the Schools of Evangelization. We have represented the International School of Evangelization of Koinonia John the Baptist, and also given the service of music and worship, see video-presentation. At this time of the meeting we could share with others our experiences of evangelization and be encouraged to keep the fire of zeal burning by the talented preachers like Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa, Fr. Gino Henriques and Michelle Moran. We have also been on the Wednesday General Audience with Pope Francis.More information about ACCSE see: evangelization 2033
Evangelize on the Baltic seaside
At the end of July in Kolobrzeg (PL), and its seaside are coming every year about 100 ths tourists, most of them come for a festival called Sunrise. This festival started from an idea of one deejay in 1999, that organizare his name-day on a sea inviting people to “four days of death”, no sleep, just only trance & house music. Today it became a festival that goes on a weekend, and gathers lovers of this music from all over Poland and beyond. Bishop of this diocese, Edward Daiczak, proposed an initative of evangelization, to announce to all who come to Kolobrzeg: God loves you! Action is called in Polish “Przystań z Jezusem” which can mean “The harbor with Jesus” or “Stop with Jesus”, organized by the diocesan School of evangelization in collaboration with other communities, such as Koinonia John the Baptist, renewal etc.. In 2014 this was already the second time, and came more than 350 evangelizers from all over Poland to share their experience of Jesus alive. Koinonia has made its contribution in guiding kerygmatic workshops, theater, dance, plastic art, music, mutlimediale theas prepared the evangelizers.
Koinonia John the Baptist in India
Training program for members of Koinonia John the Baptist in India (January-March 2014) was exciting, though not without challenges to overcome. Our Koinonia in South and North India is developing and growing for the Lord’s glory and our joy. We did the training for a deeper community integration, then Welcome course, Coordinators, House of Prayer, besides training meetings for families and for consecrated brothers and sisters, we leaded some meetings of: Agapito, Koinonia, we were also invited to give testimony in a Catholic TV channel. There is a lot of work, but the workers are good, then the future lies ahead for a good harvest. See the photos! Now even video!
The joy of the Gospel
The risen Christ sent his followers to preach the Gospel in every time and place, so that faith in him might spread to every corner of the earth – until the Aussi Land, we bring our testimony of personal meeting with Jesus, who changed our lifes, as Pope Francis said in Apostolic Exhortation Evangelli Gaudium 19.
In our day Jesus’ command to “go and make disciples” echoes in the changing scenarios and ever new challenges to the Church’s mission of evangelization, and all of us are called to take part in this new missionary “going forth”… all of us are asked to obey his call to go forth from our own comfort zone in order to reach all the “peripheries” in need of the light of the Gospel (EG 20).
Meeting “Houses” for missions
On 16th March 2013, the brothers and sisters of Opočno (Czech Republic) welcomed us warmly to the meeting of the “Houses” – Friends of the School of evangelization. Together we gave thanks to the Lord for the mission entrusted to our community and school. We presented photos of the last mission of evangelization in India (January-February 2013), sharing the experience of mission and customs in India. During lunch, the brothers and sisters testified to how the Lord is blessing their families and work through the project of the houses for missions (a project of both prayer and financial support). The Risen Lord Jesus confirmed us in this mission pouring in all of us the joy, encouragement and zeal to work for him!
